“Like most women I developed a poor relationship with food in my teens. I would compare myself to other girls and focus on the things I didn't have. I would criticize myself for not fitting the mold of what the magazines and media portrayed to be ideal; tall and skinny!
I used unhealthy habits like partying to keep my weight under control. I would go from not eating all weekend to living on sugar and processed carbs the rest of the week and it really affected my moods, energy levels, daily functioning and the way I perceived myself; as not enough.
My lifestyle eventually caught up on me in my early 20’s and I suffered from some mental health issues as a result of my unhealthy, self-sabotaging choices.
I reluctantly started to change my habits over the years and realised how rather than going to unhealthy, drastic measures to look good that stemmed from a lack of self-worth that I needed a revamp of my body and self-image from the inside out. I started implementing positive elements like exercise, yoga, healthy foods, rest, and good thoughts rather than abusing my body with drugs, alcohol, processed foods, negative people, drama-filled situations and a fixation of everything I was not.
My career as an Osteopath, PT, yoga teacher and health coach evolved from my own journey of healing, self-love, awareness and a yearning to share what I've learnt and has helped me transform my life in such a positive way. I want to help you realise your full potential and break out of old patterns (like I did) that are holding you back from living a happy life with a body you love inside and out! I have two passions; yoga and fitness competing. They may seem quite contrasting but I love what both have to offer. I love the challenge, the consistent effort, blood, sweat and tears you put into competing to bring in your absolute best condition and I also love the fluid movement and connection to self yoga offers me. It has definitely helped with comp prep; to be able to incorporate the philosophical teachings of yoga to bring a better mindset into prep and everyday life; it's been invaluable.
Through my comp prep I've trained under WBFF world number one Fitness Model and performance coach Hattie Boydle in the Sports Model Project. I've since competed in ICN in 2017 coming 2nd in Fitness Model and 3rd in Sports Model divisions and placed top 10 in WBFF Bikini Diva in their 2017 shows.
Transitioning to a healthy, active lifestyle I've been able to make some huge changes in my life for the better and I’m passionate to help you do the same. I see great potential in us all; it’s about being able to tap into our higher calling and break out of stuck, old thought patterns and belief systems that hold us back from living our lives to our full potential and it is my life goal to continue evolving on this path and help you do the same.”
Morgan owns a holistic health clinic in North Sydney where she practices as an osteopath and health coach helping women in transition with their injuries, body aches and pains, yoga, health coaching and holistic healing.
